Spean Bridge & Glen Spean

Things to See & Do & Local Information

Eating out in Spean Bridge

Within a couple of minutes walk from the chalet there are several choices of places to eat from fish and chips to fine dining:

The Old Station Restaurant & Bar is located on the railway station platform at Spean Bridge railway station and serves good food as well as good hospitality and as we like to say in the Highlands “good craick” in the bar with live music not being uncommon from your host Ben & friends  www.theoldstationrestaurant.co.uk

For bar meals and a drink there is also the local pub, The Commando Bar, in the Spean Bridge Hotel

If you are looking for a fine dining experience and a bit of a treat for a special night out the Russell’s Restaurant (2 AA Rosettes) is a fine dining experience with attentive service from your host Glen and his team http://www.russellsrestaurant.co.uk/

If you feel like stretching those legs before and after dinner then the Old Pines Restaurant is a 1 mile walk up the hill near the Commando memorial and offers nice food in a scenic location http://www.oldpines.co.uk/restaurant/

Now for something a little different the small cosy Corrour Satation Restaurant in the middle of nowhere on the Corrour Station platform which can only be accessed by bike, walking or the train http://www.corrour-station-house-restaurant.co.uk

Shops & Supermarkets

There is a good size SPAR as our village shop which has most staples and beer and wine in stock and there is a Morrisons, Lild and small Tesco in Fort William. It is also possible to book an online delivery for your shopping from ASDA in Inverness who we have found to be very reliable.
